In this edition of K-C Benefits Buzz, you’ll find information on benefits that can help with taking care of yourself and others, an update on Time & Pay processes, enhancements to the 401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan, ID cards and year-end updates, and reminders about scheduling preventive care visits in 2021.

We know your day-to-day activities probably look a little different than you'd imagined at the beginning of this year. From masks and hand sanitizer to school and work arrangements, life looks a little different for all of us right now. That's why it's more important than ever to understand how your K-C benefits can help.

When it comes to taking care of your mental and physical health...

Use K-C’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help keep your stress in check so you can plan, not panic.

Benefit Highlights:

  • It's available to you and your dependents, including those who live away from home.
  • Annually, the program provides six free, confidential visits per family member per issue.

Get Connected:

  • Call 888-968-7327 or visit liveandworkwell.com (access code: KCC).
  • An EAP clinician will help you schedule a phone or video visit with an in-network provider.
  • Prefer to chat with a provider via text message? Ask the clinician for your authorization code and registration instructions. Once registered, choose a provider and message them anywhere, anytime.

Use LiveHealth Online to video call a therapist or board-certifed doctor 24/7 from the click of a button on your smartphone or computer. This includes one-on-one counseling and medical guidance for ailments such as cold and flu symptoms, sinus infections, pink eye, and more.

Benefit Highlights:

  • You must be enrolled in a K-C medical plan option.
  • It's available to you and your enrolled dependents.
  • If you need to talk with a counselor, you'll receive a 45-minute, one-on-one online session with a licensed therapist or psychologist for $95 or less per visit.
  • If you need medical services, the most you'll pay for an online visit with a doctor is $59. However, if they aren't able to provide care, you won't be charged for the visit.

Get Connected:

  • If you're not already signed up, visit livehealthonline.com to get started. Have your medical ID card handy to create your account.
  • Once logged in:
    • To schedule a counseling session, click on the Psychology tile and select a therapist to schedule your visit. Note that Psychiatry is also an option for situations in which medication management may be helpful.
    • To schedule an online medical visit, click on the Medical tile. From there, choose an available doctor and start your visit.

When it comes to taking care of others...

Use Bright Horizons to coordinate back-up care when your regular child and adult/elder care plans fall through.*

Benefit Highlights:

  • K-C provides you with 10 subsidized visits per year. When you use a subsidized visit, you only pay:
    • A daily care-center copay of $15 per child with a $25 family daily maximum, or
    • A copay of $6 per hour for 24/7 in-home child or adult/ elder care (maximum of three children per one in-home caregiver).
  • Once you've used all 10 of your subsidized visits, you can continue to use Bright Horizons to find care providers. However, you're responsible for the full cost of care.

*Employees covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) are not eligible for K-C's back-up care benefit.


My Time & Pay Update

K-C recently transitioned to Ultimate. Read below for an update on related process changes and your upcoming Form W-2.

New Name, Same Service: Recently, Ultimate and Kronos Group merged as one company called UKG. This means all future pay and time communication will now reference UKG as the vendor.

As part of the merger, the email address for the K-C Payroll Service Center is now mykcpay@ukg.com. Emails sent to the prior email address will be automatically redirected for a short period of time.

Form W-2 Delivery: Your electronic elections made in ADP, if any, were not carried over to UKG. This means for 2020 you’re defaulted into receiving a paper Form W-2 by mail, which will be mailed to the address on file in Workday at the time the form is generated. You’ll also have access to a digital copy of your 2020 Form W-2 on the UltiPro portal and mobile app.

If you’d like to only receive your Form W-2 electronically due to security concerns, log in to the UltiPro portal, select Income Tax > Change W-2 Consent Form and elect paperless delivery by December 31, 2020. Your 2020 Form W-2 will be available on the UltiPro portal in mid-January and mailed by the February 1, 2021, IRS deadline.

Take Action Now

It’s important to verify your personal information (e.g., address, social security number) in Workday prior to the end of the year to ensure your Form W-2 and other important communications are processed correctly and sent to your current address. To update your personal information, go to Workday > Personal Information.

2021 401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan (PSP) Updates

Beginning January 1, 2021, the 401(k) & PSP has been enhanced with the following updates:

  • Updated Plan Limits: K-C's 401(k) & PSP Plan limit will be eliminated. This means you may be able to defer more after-tax contributions through payroll deductions. However, IRS Plan limits still apply. The IRS limits the amount of pre-tax and/or Roth contributions to $19,500 and allows a catch-up contribution of $6,500 for those 50 or older. The IRS limit of employee and employer contributions has increased to $58,000 for those under the age of 50 and $64,500 for those age 50 and older, which includes the catch-up contribution.
  • Automatic Increase Program: If you were automatically enrolled in the 401(k) & PSP, you were defaulted into the Automatic Increase Program. Unless you've made adjustments or opted out, your 401(k) pre-tax contribution percentage increases by 1% in June of each year until you reach the new program limit of 15% (previously 10%).

ID Cards & Important Dates

ID Cards

Depending on your Annual Enrollment elections, you may need to watch your mailbox for new ID cards and/or a new ConnectYourCare (CYC) Payment Card for 2021. If you changed your medical or dental elections for yourself or your dependents during Annual Enrollment, you may receive new ID cards for 2021.* If your benefit elections didn’t change, you will not receive new ID cards for 2021.

If you currently don’t have a CYC Payment Card for your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you can expect to receive one by January 1. If you haven’t received your new ID cards and/or CYC Payment Card by mid-January, call the K-C Benefits Information Line at 800-551-2333 and select the Health & Welfare option. From there, you can select the benefit you need assistance with.

*ID cards are not mailed for vision insurance.



Important Dates

With the end of the year approaching, there may still be a few things that require action with CYC:

  • Adoption, Surrogacy, and Education Reimbursement: You have until December 20, 2020, to submit your 2020 Adoption, Surrogacy, and Education Assistance claims. Any claims submitted after this deadline will be reimbursed from your 2021 allocation.
  • FSA and DCSA Expenses & Claims:
    • You have until December 31, 2020, to incur expenses against your 2020 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA) balances.
    • You have until March 31, 2021, to submit eligible 2020 FSA and DCSA claims (incurred January 1 – December 31, 2020).

Mark Your Calendar

As we head into the new year, it’s important to plan your preventive care visits for 2021. Preventive services are 100% paid for by the K-C Medical Plan, but only if you visit an in-network provider. This includes defined screenings, well visits, and immunizations.*

*Plan terms apply and provide guidelines regarding the type of preventive services that are allowed to be covered at 100% by law.
