In this edition of K-C Benefits Buzz, you’ll find information about K-C’s 2019 profit sharing contribution, your benefits big picture, K-C tax related documents, the 2020 payroll and time reporting transition, and the new tool to store your HSA receipts online.

2019 Profit Sharing Contribution

For 147 years, our products have made a daily impact on consumers as we provide the essentials for a better life. But we also recognize all of the work that goes into getting our products onto store shelves. With every sales call, production shift, or email sent, we couldn’t do it without you.

2019 was a big year for K-C as we challenged ourselves to play to win and transform the way we continue to ignite growth. The adjusted Earnings Per Share (EPS) target not only measures K-C’s performance against this challenge, but it also helps determine the amount K-C contributes in annual discretionary profit sharing. This discretionary contribution ranges from 0% to 8% of your eligible earnings, with a target of 4%.

Thanks to the teamwork, creativity, and contributions of K-Cers in 2019, K-C made a profit sharing contribution to eligible participants’ 401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan accounts on February 7.

Daily Essentials

The same way Cottonelle® is a daily essential in our consumer’s lives, so are the health and welfare benefits K-C provides you. They include coverage for:

  • Medical with annual checkups and other in-network preventive care 100% paid for by K-C, and
  • Prescription with K-C paying the full cost of maintenance prescriptions for certain conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and high cholesterol / blood pressure.

Did you know?

In 2019, K-C paid over $113 million in medical claims and $10 million for the cost of maintenance prescription drugs.

Future Protection

Just like the extra confidence we give our consumers with Depend® underwear, K-C wants you to feel confident in your retirement planning. K-C is committed to investing in your future retirement with our:

  • 401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan (PSP) that includes a 4% Company match and an annual discretionary profit sharing contribution based on K-C’s performance.

In 2019, K-C contributed over $44 million in Company match and over $37 million in discretionary profit sharing.

Special Moments

From the first smile to the first steps, our Huggies® diapers are there with comfort and an extra hug. We also understand the importance of our K-Cers not missing their own special moments with their newest family member. So, we offer:

  • Short-Term Disability (STD) for birth mothers as paid time off and wage replacement following child birth, and
  • Parental Leave* with 160 hours of paid time off for eligible new parents, including adoption and surrogacy.

Did you know?

In 2019, K-C provided over 2.5 million hours of paid time off benefits.

Tax Time is Here

Below is an overview of the tax-related documents you may receive for 2019 and any required action.

2019 Form W-2

If you completed your online ADP registration before January 1, 2020:

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your User ID (e.g., ASmith@KimClark) and password, then click Log In.
  3. Under Tax Statements, select 2019 as the Tax Year and then click Download Statement.

If you didn’t complete your online ADP registration before January 1, 2020, your 2019 Form W-2 was mailed to your home in late January.

Other Tax Forms

Form Mail Date Description
Form 1099-SA Mailed in late January Shows funds withdrawn from an HSA in 2019; use to complete your tax return.
Form 1095 Mailed in late January Displays the months of the year that you and your eligible dependents were offered or enrolled in K-C medical coverage.
Form 5498-SA Will mail after the tax filing deadline on or after May 31 Includes information about all HSA contributions made for 2019; for your information only.


  • For questions about your 2019 Form W-2: Submit an askHR ticket on @myHR.
  • For questions about your Health & Welfare tax forms (e.g., Form 1095): Call the K-C Benefits Information Line at 800-551-2333 and select the Health & Welfare option.

2020 Payroll & Time Reporting Transition

In the recent Annual Enrollment guide, we announced the upcoming vendor transition impacting K-C’s payroll and time reporting systems in 2020. As we get closer to the transition, you’ll hear more about the new technology and changes being introduced. Here’s what to expect this year regarding the timing of the transition and when you’ll receive more information.

More Ways to Save with the HSA

ConnectYourCare’s (CYC) HSA Save-It tool allows you to store your HSA receipts online and records withdrawals in your HSA as you make them. It’s always a good idea to keep your receipts and other documentation together in case of an IRS audit.

To get started, log in to your CYC account at and go to More Actions > Go to HSA Save-It
